I don’t know too much about these. All I could find was one other that sold in much worse condition. It stays in tune pretty well for having friction tuners. Obviously you have to tune it every time you play but you can get through a half hour session. I was considering putting machine tuners on it but I don’t want to ruin its authenticity. It sound great. It’s a baritone Uke, so you tune it dgbe. I have some wound strings on it now. It sounds great and surprisingly loud. Very warm tone. Apparently these were produced from the late 30’s to early 50’s. Possibly by the Chicago Music Company. I think the body and top is all mahogany, but I’m no wood expert. The action is a little high up the neck, but all the chords played by the nut are easy. I never play more than 6 frets down on a ukulele.
